ClerkePass helps our soldier when it counts!

This is a heart warming story that we at Image X are proud to share with all county staffs and particularly with Kitsap County Clerk’s staff.

On March 17th  “ Lucille” one of our brave soldiers, stationed in Italy, sent a request to Kitsap County Clerk’s staff to get her divorce certificate. She needed it in hurry as she was visiting Japan to meet he fiancée and had plans to get married if she could meet the legal requirements. As she had only three days to spare, time was of essence. Kitsap County staff referred Lucille to Jaimie at Image X. Jaime helped her and made sure she was able to get her certified documents quickly i.e. in 2 hours. Vicky from Image X informed Lucille that “ClerkePass is a new way to certify documents via the Internet. We are very excited about ClerkePass and about your experience with ClerkePass. This is the first certified court document going outside the United States using ClerkePass.”  We were all worried if we may face problems with Japanese authorities in accepting this electronically certified document as a legal document. So we informed Lucille about this possibility. Now here is the clincher. We received e mail from Lucille,” I got another shot tomorrow to go and see the legal see if they do will accept this.” And here is the sweet end to this story, Lucille wrote ” The experience was nerve rattling! I was at one point really scared if they will accept  a digital certification here in Japan, and they DID!!! But mind you I went to US Military facility prior to going to Japan Court, the military legal accepted the digital certification. really appreciate all your effort to think I am NOT really stationed here in Japan. My fiancee is stationed here in Japan, I am stationed in Italy, I need a certified copy right there and then to be able to get married and the site was really helpful! It would be a big mess if i have to go back in Italy without accomplishing what I came here for, where in it would put me to another thousands of money to travel back here just to wait for some papers. Thank you. The site was really helpful especially for us military overseas!.” Few typos in Lucille’s e mail are just the indication of her excitement! We wish her best for her future married life.

Makes us all proud for doing our bit to help!

Thanks Washington Counties for being on Leading edge and being so helpful to citizens.

We at Image X are grateful for your support.

WILL YOU HELP US SAVE 7 BILLION POUNDS OF GREEN GASES!!

Thursday, 5 November 2009 06:21 by Mohammed

Whopping 50,000 pounds a year!

That’s the amount of CO2 the average American is responsible for each year from our electricity use, heating, car, air travel, and our consumption including the energy needed to make our food, clothes, roads, iPods, etc. This is about 140 pounds for every person, every day.
Also aviation and the environment are on a collision course. The number of airline flights worldwide is growing and expected to skyrocket over the coming decades. Aircraft emissions pollute the air and threaten by 2050 to become one of the largest contributors to global warming, British scientists have concluded. By 2050, emissions from planes are expected to become one of the largest contributors to global warming, according to the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution, an independent group of scientists that advises the British government. On a New York-to-Denver flight, a commercial jet would generate 840 to 1,660 pounds of carbon dioxide per passenger. That's about what an SUV generates in a month.
At ClerkePass we are doing our best to help the environment. By shipping all these documents using ClerkePass, the world could save 7 billion pounds of pollutants such as CO2 and Nitrous Oxide, every year that are associated with airline flights and the trucks. This may sound a large number but it is really a very small contribution towards resolving the large problem that the world is facing.

Electronic Signature Statute

Tuesday, 27 October 2009 03:59 by Mohammed

Electronic and Digital Signatures
There is a lot of confusing and conflicting terminology surrounding the concept of electronic and digital signatures. The following is an attempt to clarify some issues. However, remember that while the use of electronic signatures may initially seem to be a technical issue, it is also a legal issue, involving concerns such as but not limited to: for what purpose is the electronic signature being used; is there an agreement between the parties as to the use and form of the electronic signature; is there guidance or approval needed from relevant oversight authorities such as granting agencies for Federal funds; and ultimately what is acceptable in a court of law as evidence that the parties intended to sign a document.
Digitized Signature
A written signature that has been read by a computer device, which has converted the signature into digital data, examples include:
• A scanner used to copy a signature from paper and store the signature as a digital image. The image can then be printed on a document. This is basically a digital replacement for the rubber signature stamp.
• A mobile digitizing device used when signing for packages from UPS or other common carriers.
• A digitizing device used when making a credit card purchase at a retail store.
These devices can be quite simple such as a scan of the signature, or very sophisticated such as a device that measures pressure throughout the signature and the number of stokes used during the signature.
Electronic Signature
For several years the Federal Government has tried to support electronic commerce, but the requirement for a signature has been a problem. As a result, the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws drafted a recommended law in 1999, the State of Indiana passed a Uniform Electronic Transactions Act in early 2000, IC 26-2-8, and the Federal Government passed the Federal Electronic Records and Signature in Commerce Act (e-Sign Law), on electronic transactions effective in late 2000. Normally, a Federal Law would override a state law, but this Federal Law specifically states that if the state law is not in conflict with the Federal Law, the state law takes precedence.
An electronic signature means an electronic sound, symbol, or process attached to or logically associated with an electronic record and executed or adopted by a person with the intent to sign the electronic record

Electronic Signatures By Clerkepass

We have all used next day shipments when we had to deliver important documents to other parties particularly when the documents require signature of the parties. YNXTday.com allows the same process over the Internet without the vulnerability associated with the web based transactions because documents are encrypted using 256 bit encryption and only authenticated persons and only after receiving consent are able to access these documents. YNXTday can eliminate problems associated with overnight delivery i.e. cost, lost or delayed delivery, delivery to wrong address etc. without sacrificing the security and privacy concerns. The Green Effect of YNXTday.com can save millions of dollars of transportation cost. Today we ship over 1 million letters every year using overnight services by FEDEX, UPS, DHL, USPS. This requires hundreds of planes, millions of gallons of gas, and hundreds of trees. YNXTday.com eliminates need for planes, gasoline or trees to get your documents to the other party, same day and same hour and these documents are delivered and stored for you for years (makes it easy to find them when you need them!!) in a format that has same legal status as a signed document.
