Announcing an easy, secure way to generate and pay bills via
the Internet.
SANTA BARBARA, CA - IMAGE-X, a leader
in E-Commerce applications, announces the
availability of Secured e-Billing, a Web-based
bill distribution and collection software application. IMAGE-X
recently announced and implemented Secure e-Filing,
its flagship e-commerce application for facilitating legal
filing in California.Using the same Data Broker technology,
IMAGE-X now offers Secured e-Billing. Public
and private companies can immediately provide better service,
more efficiently for less money. From generating invoices
to long-term data storage, finally there's a secure and
easy way to take full advantage of Internet technology.
E-commerce is increasingly the way that business is being
done. Commercial companies and other organizations want to
take advantage of advances in Intranet/Internet technologies.
However, security, public acceptance, and ease-of-use are
major concerns.
Here's How It Works.
Secured e-Billing.
Companies publish monthly invoices directly onto the web.
Data is obtained straight from the mainframe, UNIX or NT
server based billing application. Using IMAGE-X's
IMX print utility, an index file and image/data file is
created for each bill. The image/data files are then transferred
to IMAGE-X's MINDS (Managed Information
Network Data Services) and the indexed data is transferred
to an SQL database.
The customer simply keys in their password and PIN (Personal
Identification Number) code, accesses the invoice and pays
it using the Secured e-Payment module. They merely log-on
to the user-friendly WEB interface and see their bill as
an electronic image. Then just as easily, they can pay part
or their entire bill. The money is automatically transferred
to the proper account. IMAGE-X e-commerce
Customers can access up to twelve months of account activity,
pay with their credit or bank debit card, and get a confirmed
receipt for their records. Payment information is made available
as an ASCII delimited file for easy import into your organization's
billing software and is posted in real time without the
user ever having access to the main application. IMAGE-X's
Secured e-Payment system can also be tailored to split allocations
for bilingual readouts.
Why It's Secure.
Secured-Filing uses IMAGE-X's Data Broker
Technology as a model. This methodology allows remote collection
of images and data using secured sockets interface, which
separates the remote user from the line-of-business application
while still allowing the user to interact with the program.
Benefits of IMAGE-X's Data Broker Architecture:
Full security during transfer to server.
Data is protected by "Firewall" technology when
moved from the Intranet to LAN (Local Area Network) at the
server.
Outside users cannot access data directly from the server.
Users can only query data outside of the Firewall.
Data can be input to IMAGE-X's Data Broker
server module but your line-of business application is never
made available to any outsider.
COMPANIES can improve their cash flow by speeding their access
to daily deposits, reduce management and billing time by decreasing
payment processing costs, and improve customer service.
CUSTOMERS benefit from the convenience of mistake-free service
detailed receipts, faster accounting and crediting, and the
ability to pay without a stub.
AGENTS will appreciate a system that's easy to learn and
use, the ability to keep a continuous audit trail, and the
convenience and peace-of-mind of automated balancing.
