IMAGEflow is sophisticated document-based workflow management software for NT, NOVELL and UNIX-based distributed computing environments. IMAGEflow intuitively models and coordinates all components of a work process, including people, procedures, and information involved.

Flexibility. IMAGEflow can accommodate virtually any workflow design, documentation system, or reporting structure to meet specific user needs. Ease of Use. IMAGEflow’s graphical user interface and object-oriented environment eases creation, use, and management throughout the workflow process. IMAGEflow routes business process tasks directly to users (or groups of users), along with the appropriate documents and application tools needed to work on and complete these tasks.

Document Management Automation. IMAGEflow delivers the ideal combination of workflow processing with document management services together in one system. This provides users with the optimal tools for automating and maintaining document-based business processes. Without IMAGEflow, a user must sort through a large directory of information, relying on memory to determine what needs to be done, and with what data. IMAGEflow is aware of the projects being handled by its users, and is also aware of individual tasks, their status, where a document has been, who is currently working on it, and where it should go next.

Enterprise-wide Scalability. IMAGEflow delivers all of its process management benefits to workgroups with as few as five members and up to enterprise-wide networks of thousands of users.

Task and Process Tracking. IMAGEflow captures information about each process: its owner, task sequence, necessary documents, applications, and the names of users responsible for task execution. IMAGEflow automatically prompts and tracks all tasks in the workflow process, actively locating the specific documents and software tools required for each step of a project and delivering them at the right time to the users who need them. IMAGEflow automatically tracks all tasks and processes, providing complete and timely status on those activities, as well as management reports on the organization’s progress on the whole.

Leverages Existing Investment. IMAGEflow is completely independent of any other application. It does not require the purchase of proprietary image management, office automation or electronic publishing software to take advantage of IMAGEflow’s process management functionality. IMAGEflow accesses documents and other information that reside in standard file systems without moving them into database storage. Third-party software applications that act on existing business documents, such as spreadsheets and word processors, can be easily integrated into the overall process, allowing companies to leverage the value of their existing software application investment.

Open Architecture. IMAGEflow was developed following open systems principles and standards. IMAGEflow works flexibly and transparently across heterogeneous platforms on a network, including Sun SPARCstations and compatibles, IBM RS/6000s, HP 9000s, and IBM PCs and compatibles. The NT or UNIX-based server delivers sophisticated workflow management capabilities to heterogeneous client desktops, serving the vast majority of distributed client/ server environments in existence today.

SQL Database Support. IMAGEflow utilizes standard relational database software to implement workflow management and using ODBC can work with several relational databases such as Sybase, Oracle, or Informix. Based on information entered into these templates, IMAGEflow automatically routes process assignments, as well as the documents and applications needed to complete the assignments. IMAGEflow brings the full power of relational database technology — SQL queries, report generation, robust backup and recovery — to bear on all workflow applications, whether simple or complex.
