| IMAGEview software
uses standard Microsoft Windows interface
and provides a number of screens provided for the functions
of image display and manipulation.
Multiple File Format Support: IMAGEview
displays a number of file formats including Group IV TIFF,
Group III (FAX) TIFF, color and monochrome PCX, GIF, JPEG,
ASCII and other file formats.
Image Manipulation Using Mouse/Keystrokes: The software allows
use of mouse or function keys to perform image manipulation
functions. The user can zoom, pan, rotate or scroll a document.
Scripts can be written to perform certain functions. For example
users may want to automatically zoom a certain area when the
image is displayed first time.
Annotation Option: Users can annotate a document by superimposing
a layer of text on top of an image. This feature does not
modify the original image.
Software Decompression: IMAGEview uses software
decompression for image display. This allows the organization
to increase the number of viewing stations without investing
in expensive hardware.
Ease of Use: IMAGEview software uses pre-defined
point and click menus for all functions. No unique commands
need to be learned. All options on each menu are displayed
in plain English. These applications were designed for immediate
use by a wide range of users.
Masking: IMAGEview allows the supervisor
to mask certain parts of an image which contains confidential
information. Only the users with proper authorization can
remove that mask. |
